Congrats, Ryan Seacrest! Jimmy Fallon helped induct Ryan Seacrest into the Radio Hall of Fame on Friday, November 8. Seacrest, who hosts On Air With Ryan Seacrest and American Top 40, was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame at a ceremony at Gotham Hall in New York after more than 15 years in radio.
“It is my honor and privilege to be here tonight to see Ryan Seacrest inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame,” Fallon said onstage, before joking: “I’m really surprised that he’s not hosting this event.”
After taking the stage, Seacrest also thanked his colleagues, as well as On Air With Ryan Seacrest cohost and family members Sisanie, Tanya Rad, Patty Rodriguez, executive producer Mark Mohelnitzky and more who were in attendance for the ceremony.
Seacrest, along with the fellow inductees Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, Harry Harrison, Kevin Ryder and Gene “Bean” Baxter, Joe Madison, Jim Rome, John Tesh and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, were determined by a voting participant panel comprised of nearly 1,000 industry professionals and voted on by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, with input from the public.
“2 dreams came true: I was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and I got to meet Dr. Ruth!” Seacrest shared on Instagram. “A special shout-out to @JimmyFallon for inducting me, and my @OnAirWithRyan radio family who make mornings the best part of my day. It’s an honor to do what I do with all of you. We go together like Nico & Vinz. Cheers to our alarm clocks and strong coffee! #RHOF.”
