Fans were less than enthused with KNBC news reporter Robert Kovacik after he interviewed actor Dennis Quaid who was attempting to pack his car with valuables amid evacuating the destructive Los Angeles wildfires on Saturday (January 11).
According to Page Six, Quaid was in the middle of salvaging a few belongings from inside his Brentwood home when the reporter decided it would be a good time for an interview.
"We've all had a really big lesson that our experience of reality can change in a moment. I came back just incase I had to shut off the gas, you know, all those little things you don't think of and just thought maybe I can be there and put a hose on a roof if the embers start coming over at least...something like that, or help out the neighbors," Quaid shared with Kovacik as he packed his car.
Viewers immediately took to social media to express their distaste for the interview, drawing attention to how inappropriately timed it was.
"Not them interviewing Dennis Quaid while he frantically tries to pack his belongings to evacuate," one X user wrote. Another with more to say on the matter thought the reporter was "crossing boundaries" with the interview.
"It went on for like 20 minutes, this dude harassing Dennis Quaid and being ridiculously inappropriate crossing boundaries and invading privacy while he's trying to evacuate."
