Jennie Garth is breaking her silence over Shannen Doherty being left out of the 2025 Oscars In Memoriam segment.

Doherty, who passed away in July 2024 at 53 years old following a lengthy cancer battle, was one of several famous faces missing from the tribute at the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday (March 2) aimed at honoring industry professionals who died over the past year, per People. Following the omission, TMZ caught up with Garth in New York to get her thoughts on her fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 alum not being included in the tribute.

"Yeah, that's messed up," she said in a video published on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (March 5), agreeing with the outlet that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences should "maybe" apologize for leaving Doherty out of the broadcast.

Garth wasn't the only one reeling from the omission. Doherty's longtime representative told TMZ on Sunday that the actress not being included in the In Memoriam segment was disappointing giving her career in Hollywood for more than four decades.

Others tuning in to the Oscars noticed even more stars missing from the tribute, including Tony Todd, Martin Mull, Olivia Hussey and Chance Perdomo as well as Michelle Trachtenberg, who suddenly passed away at 39 just days before the ceremony.

Despite not appearing on the televised segment, many of the actors and filmmakers missing from the tribute are included on The Academy's official In Memoriam database website.
