Coldplay is releasing their new single "feelslikeimfallinginlove" on Friday (June 21), and iHeartRadio listeners can hear the new song early as its latest World Premiere.
"feelslikeimfallinginlove" is the lead single off Coldplay's upcoming 10th album, Moon Music. In an effort to keep their business sustainable, the album will be available on vinyl made with 100% recycled plastic bottles. Each record will be composed of nine recycled PET-plastic bottles that have been recovered from post-consumer waste. According to the band, this will prevent the manufacture of more than 25 metric tonnes of virgin plastic and provide an 85% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional 140g vinyl. They also plan to release the album on the world's first "EcoCD," which is created from 90% recycled polycarbonate sourced from post-consumer waste streams.
Moon Music is slated for an October 4 release. This will be the band's first album since 2021's Music of the Spheres, and it might be one of their last. In 2021, frontman Chris Martin divulged that he planned to stop putting out music with Coldplay in 2025. “Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour,” he said at the time. “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then.”
You can listen to Coldplay's latest song, "feelslikeimfallinginlove," on all iHeartRadio Alternative Rock Stations, where the song will be playing every other hour at the top of the hour.
