One Kentucky woman got a tattoo of a quote at exactly the wrong time.
The Lexington Herald Leader reported that 25-year-old Kentuckian Leah Holland got a quote tattooed on her arm that "represented her values in not pretending to be someone she isn't."
Holland said that the quote was spoken in a conversation about things that they admire about one another.
The tattoo reads, "Courageously & radically refuse to wear a mask."
Yeah...
I think it's safe to say that the meaning of that tattoo change quite literally overnight.
Holland got the tattoo on March 4th, just two days before Kentucky confirmed its first official case of the coronavirus.
Holland shared her tattoo on TikTok. One user asked others to share the dumbest tattoo that they have ever gotten. Holland stitched the video stating, "I won."
Despite what the tattoo may say, however, Holland is not actually against wearing masks in a literal sense. She said, "A lot of people think that when I got the tattoo I had never heard of COVID. That's not completely the case. The think that wasn't a think then was anti-maskers."
Holland says that while it was bad timing, she can laugh about it now. "Enough time has passed, where this was just hilariously unfortunate timing. It makes me laugh now, so I thought it would be fun to post."
