Felicity Huffman’s youngest daughter, Georgia Macy, is going to college!
Huffman’s 17-year-old daughter, whom she shares with husband William H. Macy, announced which school she got accepted into on her Instagram Stories. On Tuesday (December 10), Georgia posted an image of her school’s logo which revealed she will be going to Vassar College in New York. Georgia’s college decision comes just months after her mother was released from prison following her involvement in the now-notorious college admissions scandal that broke earlier this year.
As previously reported, the Desperate Housewives actress was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, on October 25 after serving her 14-day prison sentence. Along with a year of supervised release, Huffman was ordered to pay a $30,000 fine and complete 250 hours of community service.
In light of the nationwide scandal, Huffman was arrested on March 12 and charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Additionally, the 57-year-old allegedly paid $15,000 to have her daughter Sophia’s incorrect SAT answers proctored to help better her chances at getting into the University of Southern California. She pleaded guilty the following May and was sentenced in September.
After her release, a source told Entertainment Tonight the experience has inspired Huffman to help the incarcerated women with whom she bonded. "Felicity felt like the women in that facility were being discarded and left behind; they were forgotten," the source said. "She loved the women there and bonded with them. When she left she felt guilty leaving them behind."
