‘One Tree Hill’ Ladies Reveal Podcast Will Also Teach Teens What Not to Do

Are you a Brooke, Peyton or Haley?! One Tree Hill stars Hilarie Burton-Morgan, Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz are reuniting to take a trip down memory lane with new iHeartRadio rewatch podcast Drama Queens. The trio joined Ryan Seacrest on-air on Friday, June 18, to dish on the already fan-favorite podcast and revealed the podcast will also serve as a chance to take people to "task" for what they now recognize was inappropriate.

"It's quite a trip down memory lane," Hilarie shared. "... We sit down and digest the episodes together and certainly the times have changed. ... We get to assess that with each other as women who have become advocates and have become very vocal as we’ve grown up, so it's fun to cheer on the quirky kid stuff we did and also tak[e] people to task for some of the stuff that was irresponsible."

Sophia added that there's a lot they wish they could change, but now they have a platform to learn from their "mistakes."

"We were written largely by men who were gross and made to do things that we all fought about behind the scenes saying, 'This doesn’t feel appropriate to set these examples for teenagers' and our show was super white and all of us girls called each other [names] all the time," Sophia reflected. "… [There's] so much that we wish we could change, but we were kids on our first job so it's an interesting dichotomy to really love it and relive the magic … so it's special and now we want to do some things differently.”

Hilarie agreed the podcast serves as "a great opportunity to be able to discuss those things and open up that dialogue" as well as serve as a vehicle to teach teens and even their own daughters what not to do.

"You’re young and want to please everybody," the ladies concluded. "[We] didn’t know how to be diplomatic."
